What it is

Etherscan-compatible API

The Etherscan-compatible API answers Etherscan-style requests from Routescan’s own index, with the same modules, actions and response envelopes. Use it as an Etherscan API alternative, including on chains others skip.

Coming from Etherscan API V2? Its ?chainid= parameter becomes the {chainId} segment of the Routescan base URL. Migration guide →

The API Reference includes the OpenAPI spec, for generating clients and agent tools.

Questions

What teams usually ask us

How do I migrate from Etherscan API V2 to Routescan?

Change the base URL and the key. Etherscan API V2 picks the chain with the ?chainid= parameter. Routescan puts the same chain ID in the path, as the {chainId} segment of https://api.routescan.io/v2/network/{network}/evm/{chainId}/etherscan/api. The migration guide in the docs covers the details.

Is the Etherscan-compatible API free?

Yes, to start. It shares the free tier and the paid plans of the Data API, listed on the pricing page.

Which Etherscan modules does the Etherscan-compatible API support?

The account, contract, transaction, block, logs and token modules. The compatible endpoints are listed in the API Reference.

Is the Etherscan-compatible API affiliated with Etherscan?

No. It is an independent product, not affiliated with or endorsed by Etherscan. “Etherscan-compatible” describes the request and response format only.
